I love God & my family. Some of my hobbies include; natural hair, music, fashion, and did I mention natural hair. I am the ultimate girlie girl; I love dressing up, doing hair, makeup, fashion and SHOES. I value family, life, embrace self acceptance and cherish the things God give me to steward. I am optimistic and also a skeptic. It cost absolutely nothing to be positive or negative, I choose to be positive. This blog will incorporate a mixture of things that I am most passionate about. The main focus is hair but I will throw other things in there every once in a while. Please feel free to comment and ask questions, I LOVE QUESTIONS! Since going natural I have been glued to my laptop, I enjoy networking with other naturals who share the same love and respect for natural hair. My goal is to reach waist length hair by Aug 23, 2013. Thank you for stopping by Peace & blessings. Happy growing!!!!

My new found love for braidouts

Hey Queens,

I know it has been I minute (forgive me) I had to take time out to catch you up on my current hair progress. I took my braids out last week, treat it, and decided to do a braid out; I prefer them over twist  out because I get more length and definition with braids. I wore the braids for one day then took them out, I wore them defined (without separating) to work so I can save the style for  later that day (it was one of my besty's birthday celebration).

 That night I separated them to get volume and loved the results. I love being able to whip my hair back and forth when dancing or just because it's MY HAIR.....and I do whip it lol!!

That night I simply did huge braids, wrapped my hair with satin silk scarf and went to bed, the next day I took the braids out and they were even more stretched and defined. I love this method.

What I used;
1. whupped shea butter

2. cantu shea butter leave in
 3. castor oil (when taking braids out)

What I learned;
1. castor oil gives natural shine and softness
2. Don't be afraid to re braid hair at night to save my braid out throughout the week.
