I love God & my family. Some of my hobbies include; natural hair, music, fashion, and did I mention natural hair. I am the ultimate girlie girl; I love dressing up, doing hair, makeup, fashion and SHOES. I value family, life, embrace self acceptance and cherish the things God give me to steward. I am optimistic and also a skeptic. It cost absolutely nothing to be positive or negative, I choose to be positive. This blog will incorporate a mixture of things that I am most passionate about. The main focus is hair but I will throw other things in there every once in a while. Please feel free to comment and ask questions, I LOVE QUESTIONS! Since going natural I have been glued to my laptop, I enjoy networking with other naturals who share the same love and respect for natural hair. My goal is to reach waist length hair by Aug 23, 2013. Thank you for stopping by Peace & blessings. Happy growing!!!!

Shany 12 Color Palette, Smokey Eyes, 6 Ounce REVIEW

With all the great reviews it was hard to let this pallet slip away. I receive mine early and upon opening it I was happy to see the size of the pallets. They were as big as the half dollar which is awesome because I don't have to worry about running out anytime soon.

The colors were highly pigmented. No complaints here. Great product

Makeup Brush set hault and review

After losing most of my makeup brushes I decided to invest in a brush kit. I searched through many reviews on amazon and thought I would never find what I was looking for. My wants were as followed:

*Good quality brushes at an affordable price
*a lot of shadow brushes (i have a lot of color and cant stand wiping color off same to use another color)
*Shadow brushes that picked up color

I searched for 1 whole week and came upon this kit. I liked what the brushes were made of and the amount of shadow brushes that was offered grabbed my attention. After reading both good and bad reviews I decided to try this.

PROS:
1. They arrived earlier than estimated so that was a PLUS.
2. The presentation was great, the case came in a nice deep red color, and upon unraveling it were tons of brushes include:

*1 fan brush
*3 medium brushes
*1 concealer brush
*1 blending brush
*1 angle brush
*5 shadow brushes!! (range from normal to small)
*The rest were a combo of lip, brow, and liner and mascara brushes. Basically you have a all the brushes u need.

3. These brushes  are soft, dense and sturdy. They will pick up color well

CONS:

1.The medium brushes I believe they are foundation and blush brushes. My existing brushes are huge so to see these so small I almost couldn't identify them, but I guess they come in different sizes. Upon using them i notice they didn't pick up color that well but I plan to make them work.

2. There are more small brushes that I wouldn't mind replacing with more shadow brush but I'm an eye shadow girl. Nevertheless I plan to make use of them all.

3. The worst part of all the cons is  I experienced a lot if shedding upon applying. I went back on the site to read the reviews of people who complained about shedding and someone suggest to wash the brushes in gentle shampoo before use so I did just that, I also pulled on the brissels the best i could. The next morning I used them and it did decrease the shedding but it didn't eliminate it. I use the fan brush to wipe the hairs off my face. This set gets the work done but its not the best quality due to shedding which is one issue i never experience before with brushes.

Overall I gave this product 3 out of 5 stars. I wouldn't recommend this to a friend. But if you are a beginner i say go for it. Its good for getting practice

UPDATE

Hey Dolls,

Long time no write. I returned to PS braids extensions. After about 2 months of playing with my hair it is time to take a load off. I plan to leave them in for 2 months but as proven in the past my hair grows fast in them so I will probably have them in for 6 weeks.  Here are some pix from an outing this past weekend (Sept. 24) my co workers and I went out and I rocked the blue get up. I must say the hair style complimented the outfit.

Another day in the FAB life, getting glammed up is what I live for lol.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

So for my bday i decided to do the following style
Its stylish, edgy and it compliments with my bday dress.  The night was innocent shared with my siblings who are my BEST friends and some close friends. After going through lifes ups and downs one thing I realize is when all else fails FAMILY is ALWAYS there. I learned to stick with them because we may fight, and disagree but its like a marriage we get through it and become closer and stronger. I am fortunate to be blessed with 4 sisters and 4 brothers who I ADORE; I LOVE LOVE YOU ALL!!

Last night was the Red Light Lounge show and as booking agent I always want to dress for my title. I braided my hair wet after sealing it with my butter and went on with my day. Unfortunately by the time it was time to get ready my hair hadn't completely dried so my braid out failed. The wonderful thing about natural hair is one failed style opens ideas for a better one. I took down the damp braids, pined my hair to the side, pulled on the hair for volume and I was please beyond my expectations.
I wore my skin tight blue dress for the first time along with some tights (it has been COLD at night in cali), my ankle boots, and my grey blazer. My makeup was different shades of blues along with shimmers that popped. The liquid eye liner shaped my eyes perfectly and the combo brought out my brown eyes.

120 Color Palette 2nd Edition purchase

I have always LOVED makeup but never really master the skills of applying them, it  always fascinates me the way makeup artists have the  ability to transform models from ordinary to extraordinary. I had always been limited to practice different looks beacuse  affordable, good quality makeup is was hard to come across.  I  thought MAC was the only and although I owned 8 pallets and some brushes from MAC it just was not enough to do different looks. With MACs prices I just could not drive myself to purchase its brands. Luckily I stumbled on BHcosmetics makeup, they sales tones of pallets for less than a fraction of MAC prices.

I placed my order Tuesday afternoon of this  week and received my purchase the next day! So I was very impressed with the fast shipping. I made the decision to purchase from them because reviews show they have GREAT customer service, and I love that.
There is no difference between Bhcosmetics and Costal Scents makeup, I looked up the ingredients and they are the EXACT SAME.

I was very please with the purchase,I brought my makeup from Amazon.com; I spent $26.95 on the pallet and $4.45 on S&H which totaled to $31.40. Packaging was very good and not a single pallet was broken or out of place.  This company also has their own website; www.bhcosmetics.com
On to the fun stuff; the pallet consist of different variations of colors;pearl,shimmer,neutral,matte,translucent...the list goes on and on. The quality is good and the colors are pigmented.  I am super excited about creating different looks from smokey, to everyday look, and night looks all this for $31.40... I go a great deal.
