I love God & my family. Some of my hobbies include; natural hair, music, fashion, and did I mention natural hair. I am the ultimate girlie girl; I love dressing up, doing hair, makeup, fashion and SHOES. I value family, life, embrace self acceptance and cherish the things God give me to steward. I am optimistic and also a skeptic. It cost absolutely nothing to be positive or negative, I choose to be positive. This blog will incorporate a mixture of things that I am most passionate about. The main focus is hair but I will throw other things in there every once in a while. Please feel free to comment and ask questions, I LOVE QUESTIONS! Since going natural I have been glued to my laptop, I enjoy networking with other naturals who share the same love and respect for natural hair. My goal is to reach waist length hair by Aug 23, 2013. Thank you for stopping by Peace & blessings. Happy growing!!!!

Product of the week: Raw unrefined Shea butter

raw unrefined shea butter

"Shea Butter provides moisture to dry or damaged hair from the roots to the very tips, repairing and protecting against weather damage, dryness and brittleness.  It also absorbs quickly and completely into the scalp to rehydrate without clogging pores.  It is particularly beneficial for processed and heat-treated hair.  It is an excellent treatment for dry scalp. It restores luster to damaged hair."-http://www.treasuredlocks.com/shebutben.html

Shea Butter is one of the very first products I invested in when I first decided to go natural and like a lot of my other products it is natural and can be used for multiple purposes; skin, hair, food, nails, and feet...the list goes on. I love how soft it leaves my hair. The more I use it, the different ways I find it to benefit me.

How I Use:
1.I use shea butter as a pre poo, this means i apply it to hair before shampooing
2.I also use this as an oil for my oil rinses
3.I whip it with other oils to get it in a lighter state, shea butter is very heavy (see whipped shea butter recipe post)
4.Melt it with for scalp treatments (i love not having to worry about rinsing it out like other oils)
5.Use it alone melted as a leave in or a sealer after leave in
6.For styling; it elongates hair, i like it for twists and twist outs
